Our First Post!!

Matthew: "I suppose this is important, we must set the tone.."

Yes, the first post of a blog is important. In a way it determines the type of blog it will be. Will it be the first episode in a profound discussion of theology, philosophy, and politics? Will it chronicle our observations of the quirky yet warm people of Iowa, who in many ways aren't much different than us Michiganders, but in other ways remind us that drinking a case of Busch Light on a broken Pontoon boat in your front yard is acceptable behavior in some places? Will it highlight our adventures here and abroad? Will it be a blog focusing on all things food, beer, and wine, revealing Matthew to be more of a beer snob than you ever imagined? To all of these questions we say yes. It will be all of these things, and hopefully more. We hope it entertains you, but if it doesn't, there is always the Real Housewives of New Jersey. 

Welcome to Iowa. Is it all corn, cows, and John Deere? I guess you will have to come back and see.
